When in Rome, do as the Romans do, but when in Indonesia, use coconuts to build scale models of dome projects!
Albert Einstein purportedly said, “Creativity is intelligence having fun.” We agree and think this coconut model of a future project of Indonesian dome builder, Antonius “Yoss” Yusanto, is both creative and smart.
Yoss has been a friend of Monolithic’s since he volunteered to assist Domes for the World in the rebuilding of the village of Ngelepen which had been destroyed in the May 2006 earthquake in Java. He soon proved himself to be invaluable and became the DFTW Indonesia Superintendent. Since then, Yoss has continued building domes throughout Indonesia.
