For his entry, Frank Anton, who helps run the popular real estate and mortgage rates section of Rates.Banks.com described the various types of dome homes currently on the market. Not surprisingly, first on his list was Monolithic Domes.
“The Monolithic dome home is strong, fire resistant, and ready to face the worst element nature brings.” He went on to explain that California is one of the states where interest in dome homes is on the rise, adding “The geometric architecture of a dome home is visually pleasing and the depending upon the type of construction, they can be resistant to wind, storm, earthquake, and insect damage.”
