Why a Monolithic Dome Fertilizer Blend Plant?

Fertilizer in a blend plant is stored in side-by-side bins. That way it is easily accessible to be mixed and hauled onto the field. Note that most of the bins are made of wood walls. The floors are made of concrete. As soon as the first fertilizer is put in the storage, the floors start collecting the condensation that mixes with the fertilizer.

This floor is seriously deteriorated from the effects of the chemicals coming out of the fertilizer as it mixes with the moisture in the air. Monolithic Dome blend plants do not have this issue because our domes are super insulated, and simple, window A/C units can keep all of the excess moister out of the dome. Monolithic also includes a special additive in its concrete to reduce the effects of chemical attacks.

This is a picture of a Monolithic Dome blend plant. Notice the difference in the condition of the floor and bin walls. Concrete bin walls can take the abuse that loader operators will throw at it. Loaders, conveyers, scales — everything is kept dry and rust free!

Compared to Monolithic, concrete bin walls, wooden bins have high maintenance costs.

Here is an example of wooden bin walls. Notice the abuse that these walls have taken over the years of loader operators hitting them. Try that on a concrete wall and you may have to fix the loader. All of the product that is within the walls and on the wet floor is lost product. The next image shows the inside of a Monolithic bin.

Inside of Monolithic bins, there is no lost material. Each granule of material is dry and available for loading.

Our design of a rotating incoming conveyer is unique. The incoming conveyor brings material from the elevator outside and drops it into the center. Then it can be rotated to drop the product into the bin of choice. The dome can support any loads you can hang off it. All of the material handling equipment is supported off the dome. Catwalks provide access to each moving part, so maintenance is simple.

The exterior of the domes is great looking. Domes also have a minimal footprint that maximizes the use of property.
