Due Sorelle in the romantic language of Italy means Two Sisters. Thanks to Melinda and Sarah, two daughters of Monolithic’s President David South, we now have a Due Sorelle at our headquarters in Italy, Texas.
In 2004, with the help of Judy South, their mom, Melinda and Sarah designed and planned the construction of a 32-foot-diameter Monolithic Dome home that they named Due Sorelle. Built on a 2-foot-high stemwall, this home’s 804-square-foot interior includes two bedrooms, one bath, an open living/dining area and a kitchen with generous storage.
An inviting entry — A curtained front doorway welcomes visitors.
By design — Bookshelves lining the wall create an attractive display and a pathway to a bedroom.
No wasted space — Here is a pleasant kitchen for both cooking and informal dining.
Tile floors — Except for the living room, a handsome, easily maintained tile covers the floors of this dome-home.
