Beautiful mountain cabin ready for spring finish

The Heywood family cabin started over a year ago and is almost complete. It is in the deep snow of northern Arizona so they have to wait until spring to complete it. The dome is 58-feet diameter with three levels surrounding a central gathering room.

It’s just under 5,000 square feet of usable space. It’s remote location means it is solar powered with generator backup. The lower floor is recessed into the base of an extinct volcano. It is completely fireproofed, nestled in the middle of a tall ponderosa forrest.
