Io-26: A 26' Diameter, 531 SF, Two-Bedroom, One-Bath Floor Plan.

Ringing in at just 531 square feet, this tiny house packs a big punch. A stack washer and dryer unit in the bathroom makes this cabin truly self-contained. And who could say no to a pantry? The lack of closet space could be ameliorated by under-bed storage and bedroom wardrobes.

Io-28: A 28' Diameter, 616 SF, Two-Bedroom, One-Bath Floor Plan.

This little dome home would be the perfect place for a single parent and a child. Or, for a grandmother who likes to host sleepovers! Highlights of this plan include room for a full-size tub/shower, a kitchen with a dishwasher, two closets and lots of upper cabinets. The small bedroom space could be converted to a big walk-in closet for a single person who needs a big closet.

Elara: A 30' Diameter, 706 SF, Two-Bedroom, One-Bath Floor Plan.

There’s no wasted space in this full-sized but efficient two-bedroom plan. The laundry room located in the bathroom is smart and offers lots of space above for more storage. This open floor plan has plenty of space to spread out or snuggle up. The size of the closet in the main bedroom could easily be doubled.

Oberon: A 32' Diameter, 804 SF, Two-Bedroom, One-Bath Floor Plan.

This plan would make the perfect starter house or retirement home. The kitchen has room for tons of storage. Highlights of this house include two big closets, linen storage and a breakfast bar. The stack washer/dryer in the bathroom is efficient.

Oberon: A 32' Diameter, 804 SF, Two-Bedroom, One-Bath Floor Plan.

The large custom shower and full-sized laundry make this 804-square-foot house feel big. Perfect for one or two people, the open floor plan will give the owners plenty of creative space to spread out. The big window over the dining area is another big plus. This is another floor plan where the closet in the main bedroom could be easily expanded.

Luna: A 34' Diameter, 907 SF, Two-Bedroom, Two-Bath Floor Plan.

This house has everything for any new parent or couple on a budget. Both bedrooms have big closets. The primary bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a shower. This clever design makes room for a second bathroom with a full-sized tub and tucks a laundry room into a nook next to the kitchen.

Ariel: A 36' Diameter, 1,017 SF, Two-Bedroom, One-Bath Floor Plan.

This two-bedroom house is for homeowners who covet an open floor plan. Almost half the square footage of this home is devoted to a great room with a dining, kitchen, laundry and living space within. Those who value their privacy will appreciate that the two bedrooms are accessed on opposite sides of the home and that their closets will act as sound buffers between them.

Ariel: A 36' Diameter, 1,1017 SF, Two-Bedroom, One-Bath Floor Plan.

Symmetry is the name of the game with this clever layout. The great room has a big kitchen with space for a nice-sized table. The big laundry/mud room is attractive. The Jack and Jill bathroom can be accessed from the living area—a nice little extra. However, a designer could eliminate the third door into the bathroom, and use the reclaimed hallway for walk-in closets and a larger shower or full-sized bath.

Ariel: A 37' Diameter, 1,075 SF, Two-Bedroom, One-Bath Floor Plan.

The bedrooms in this modest-sized home are spacious. Both have big closets and easy access to the single bath with a full-sized tub. The mudroom/laundry room has tons of space for extra storage. The side entrance into a mud room/laundry room also has space enough for a pantry. The breakfast bar and stove top placement make Sunday morning brunch a breeze to prep and serve.

Ariel: A 38' Diameter, 1,134 SF, Two-Bedroom, One-Bath Floor Plan.

This could be the perfect house for a new family or the ultimate cabin or retirement getaway. The primary bedroom has a big closet and a private entrance. The Jack and Jill bathroom is generous—there’s room for a garden tub, a private water closet and a large shower.

Ariel: A 39' Diameter, 1,194 SF, Two-Bedroom, Two-Bath Floor Plan.

The large kitchen with breakfast bar is the star of this house plan. The primary bedroom hosts one of the two bathrooms (each with space for a full-sized tub). Both bedrooms have nice closets, yet there is still room for a laundry setup, pantry, and flexible dining/living space.

Janus: A 40' Diameter, 1,256 SF, Two-Bedroom, Two-Bath Floor Plan.

Communal living space is what’s emphasized in this design. The huge great room has tons of possibilities. Two full bathrooms are a win, as is the large closet in the primary bedroom. A homeowner might consider turning half of that closet into a laundry room.

Miranda: A 45' Diameter, 1,590 SF, Two-Bedroom, One and a Half-Bath Floor Plan.

The two bedrooms in this house each have a dedicated living area or den. This is for homeowners who care less about storing closets full of clothes and more about storing games, coats or equipment for shared adventures. The two central built-in cupboards would be perfect for that. One bathroom has a full-sized tub and a big linen closet, and the other is a petite powder room off the den.

Miranda: 45' Diameter, 1,590 SF, Two-Bedroom, Two-Bath Floor Plan.

This home has everything two people or a small family could want. The primary bedroom boasts a spacious ensuite bathroom, a big closet and a private study—which would also make a terrific little nursery. The entry is a proper foyer with lots of closet space. In addition to the large great room, there is a laundry room with lots of extra storage space and a second office off the dining area!

Orion: A 47' Diameter, 1,590 SF, Two-Bedroom, Two-Bath Floor Plan.

Check out the large laundry and pantry! With its office space and extra closets, this house would be perfect for the homeowner who works from home. The primary bedroom’s ensuite bath has a nice shower, and the second has a full-sized tub. The galley kitchen is opened up with the addition of a breakfast counter, but moving the refrigerator to the dome wall and extending the counter, might be an improvement.

Janus: Main Floor of a 35' Diameter, 1,638 SF, Two-Bedroom, One and a Half-Bath Floor Plan.

The bottom floor of this two-level home is where the primary bedroom suite is found. In addition to the large en-suite bathroom, there is a powder room, a laundry, an entryway closet, a living room and a big kitchen. A pantry off the kitchen is an added bonus!

Janus: Upper Floor of a 35' Diameter, 1,638 SF, Two-Bedroom, One and a Half-Bath Floor Plan.

The top floor of this Janus Monolithic Dome home has a loft-style bedroom and a huge storage area. By leaving half of the upper floor open to the great room below, this home will have an open, airy feel with an almost 20-foot ceiling.

Janus: Main floor of a 42' Diameter, 1,961 SF, Two-Bedroom, Two-Bath Floor Plan.

A home designed with gardeners, outdoor enthusiasts or dog owners in mind. The mud room entrance with a large garden tub nearby makes cleanup after a long day outside a breeze. The double sinks in the primary en-suite are a highlight. The separate kitchen/dining area is attractive to a buyer who is tired of open floor plans and is looking to return to the time of the cozy kitchen. Removing the peninsula and extending the counters and cupboards to the window might make sense. The dining table centered in a cozy kitchen is a fun, old-is-new-again trend happening now.

Janus: Top Floor of a 39' Diameter, 1,961 SF, Two-Bedroom, Two-Bath Floor Plan.

The second level of this roomy two-bedroom home could be used for storage, a game room, or a third bedroom. Open to the floor below; the loft would have plenty of headroom. Many dome homeowners have used such spaces as a tv room or library.

Callisto: A 50' Diameter, 1,964SF, Two-Bedroom, Two-Bath Floor Plan.

The open floor plan of this two-bedroom home invites the family to spend time together. Even so, the two bedrooms are roomy and have large closets. The primary ensuite bath is oversized, and the second bath could have a double sink or a big linen closet. The rear entrance into a mudroom/laundry and the two closets in the hallway give this plan the extra storage every homeowner covets.

Hyperion: A 28', 37' and 28' Diameter Domed, 1,966 SF, Two-Bedroom, Two-Bath Floor Plan.

Symmetry and equal space shine in this two-bedroom house plan. The separate wings of the home make it ideal for equal partners, an Airbnb rental, or someone in need of a mother-in-law suite. The large kitchen/great room space has a spot for built-in cupboards. This will be a sunny, cheerful home with an expansive wall of windows and patio doors leading out to a deck or backyard.

Orion: Main Floor of a 46' Diameter, 2,495 SF, Two-Bedroom, Three-Bath Floor Plan.

This floor plan would be ideal for people who value a quiet, private dining room. The passthrough from the kitchen makes the dining room convenient but separate. This dining room would be perfect for entertaining and could double as a work-from-home space. The primary bedroom could easily connect to its bathroom with a custom shower. Doing so would add square footage to the bedroom.

Orion: Upper Floor of a 46' Diameter, 2,439SF, Two-Bedroom, Three-Bath Floor Plan.

The upper level of this 2,493-square-foot home is an 800-square-foot partial loft. Most of the loft is open space—perfect for a game room! A second bedroom with a nice closet, a full bath and a big storage room are also found on this level.

Rigel: Main floor of a 52' Diameter, 2,923 SF, Two-Bedroom, Two and a Half-Bath Floor Plan.

This house has it all, including a wow factor in the form of a grand staircase on the first level. The main floor also has a huge kitchen with a pantry, a laundry room, a powder room, a big office space, an amazing phalanx of built-in cupboards, a dining space, a living room, and a guest bedroom with an ensuite bath.

Rigel: Top Floor of a 52' Diameter, 2,923 SF, Two-Bedroom, Two and a Half-Bath Floor Plan.

The primary bedroom suite on the second-floor loft includes a kitchenette, breakfast table, luxury closet, makeup vanity and a bathroom with a garden tub, private water closet and shower. The ultimate getaway for a lucky couple, the space could alternately be used as a mother-in-law suite.

Rigel: The bottom floor of a 50' Diameter, 3,589 SF, Two-Bedroom, Three-Bath Floor Plan.

The ground floor of this 3,589 square foot home has a huge arts/crafts studio, a workout room, an office, a laundry, a full-sized bath, a large guest bedroom, and a spacious sitting room that looks out onto a patio. This could be the perfect lake house or mountainside retreat.

The huge great room of this floorplan looks out onto a deck—putting the view front and center. The primary bedroom suite has luxurious his-and-her bathrooms and a sitting room. If the closet isn’t big enough, there’s plenty of room to expand it. The kitchen could also be easily improved by extending the island to the dome wall.
