The Io-24, built on a three-foot high stemwall, has a diameter of 24 feet and a height of 9 feet. It makes a practical, simply designed, affordable rental unit for one or two persons. Monolithic has built several Io-24s. Please note the layout: The Io-24 has almost no hall and no wasted space. It is a very tight building. For privacy, we designed the bedroom as separate from the great room. Yet this dome is small enough so that it can be built relatively inexpensively. Although it’s small, the Io-24 is a Monolithic Dome that provides disaster-resistant and fire-resistant security. It’s energy-efficient and easy to maintain. Those qualities make the Io-24 a great rental for retired seniors or a single working person.

Ideal Rental — Because it’s practical, simple and affordable, the Io-24 makes an ideal rental for one or two persons.

No Wasted Space — The Io-24 has no halls or wasted space. But its living area is separate from the sleeping area.

Small but Tough! — Like all Monolithic Domes, the small Io-24 will resist natural disasters and is super energy efficient.
