Dream Home in a Dome
Although no major hurricanes have hit the U.S. coast so far this year, states like Florida will be vulnerable to severe storms for the next several months. But there’s at least one Florida family that isn’t worried about what the next few months will bring, or for that matter, the next several decades.
Gerry and Bill Merrell have built a Monolithic Dome home in the Tampa Bay area, and they know that there’s not a storm strong enough to knock it down. The 6,000-square-foot dome home is a dream come true for the Merrells, who recently shared their story with the Fox television station in Tampa Bay.
