Do-It-Yourself Monolithic Cabin

Building the actual shell of the Monolithic Cabin takes a lot of specialized equipment, trained manpower and a specialized form called a casting bed. Therefore, we suggest that you consider having Monolithic build the shell and you finishing the Cabin.

We have the casting beds, so we can pour the floor with the proper crossbeams, etc. We then attach an Airform to the floor, inflate it and construct the Cabin.

This allows us to put the conduit for the electrical in the wall with the rebar. When we are done, the structure is complete and ready for the finish. We do this in a factory situation. Consequently, foam and shotcrete equipment does not have to be transported to another location, which costs a lot of money.

When the Cabin is complete, we can ship it to you. You can then locally purchase doors, windows and all other supplies. If you have the know-how, you can create the room partitions and install the electrical and plumbing, literally building your own Cabin.

But you won’t have the expense of the casting bed and the high-dollar foam and shotcrete equipment.

These Cabins can be a weekend project – they are not going to go anywhere – you just work on them when you can. You can have a Cabin in the mountains or build it beside your farmhouse and rent it.
