Terrible Tuesday – Light at the End of the Funnel

Terrible Tuesday happened on April 10, 1979 when a monster EF4 tornado hit Wichita Falls, Texas. This most-damaging tornado in American history killed 45 people and injured hundreds more.

Wicked Weather Weekend commemorates Terrible Tuesday and presents plans for coping with and successfully surviving future natural disasters.

The Weekend

Sponsored by Interfaith Ministries, Wicked Weather Weekend is scheduled for Friday, April 12 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at J.S. Bridwell Ag Center, 111 N Burnett St. Wichita Falls, TX 76306. http://wickedweatherweekend.com

David South, president of Monolithic, will speak twice on Saturday: 5 p.m. “21st Century Construction” and 6 p.m. “Profitable Dome Rentals.”

In addition to speakers, this special Weekend will include “Munchkin Land,” an interactive children’s game area; “Tornado Alley” with exhibits; “Recovery Zone” with programs and products to help you cope; “First Responders” and “Storm Chasers” who will share advice and experiences; “Hourly Prize Drawings.”
